Yoke Berry-van Kooij. migrated to Australia some years ago and has happily maintained her Dutch identity. She set up this website to unite the Dutch community in the Illawarra. 

In recent years, she has facilitated: 

• A civic reception @ Wollongong City Council for the Consul General of the Netherlands, Margriet Bot, on Friday 22 February 2008 followed by a visit to the University of Wollongong to meet the Vice Chancellor Professor Gerald Sutton, Dutch academics & students and an afternoon tea at the DASI clubhouse in Woonona to meet Dutch migrants.
• A meeting with the Consul General of the Netherlands, Willem Cosijn, to the University of Wollongong in 2013. As a result she and Professor Marc in het Panhuis were invited to meet Dutch Premier Mark Rutte in November 2014 
• Dutch presence at the FedCup tennis playoff between Australia and the Netherlands on 21 and 22 April 2018.
• Dutch participation in the Great Illawarra Walk for the benefit of Chloe Saxby on the 2nd of March 2019.
• A survey Hoe blijven we een beetje Nederlands in Australia? amongst Dutch in Wollongong followers in October 2019.
• Presentation of Wiebe Wakker at the DASI club on 31 March 2019.
• A meeting of Wiebe Wakker with Professor Marc in het Panhuis at the Innovation Campus of the University of Wollongong on 1 April 2019.
